“Healing begins at the Center.”
Colleen McGinnis, PsyD
Colleen is founder of the Center for Conscious Healing and a licensed clinical psychologist. Curious about the psychological and spiritual elements that make us human even as a youngster, she studied psychology as an undergrad at the University of Notre Dame and received her doctorate at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology - Argosy University. Over the last 3 decades, Colleen has worked in both organizational and clinical psychology settings, assisting others with the cognitive and behavioral underpinnings of mood disorders, relationship problems, addictions, disordered eating, trauma, personality disorders, and suicidal/self-harming behaviors. She utilizes her expertise to partner with clients, striving to understand them fully, and to assist them as they enhance their strengths, reduce their suffering, and release the obstacles preventing them from living their highest versions of themselves.
Following her introduction to Mindfulness as both a therapeutic tool and invaluable life skill, Colleen has become an ardent practitioner of this approach to expanded awareness. She integrates it into the therapeutic alliance whenever possible, teaching individuals how to mindfully attend to their bodies and inner world, how to escape the prison of their thoughts and emotions, and how to compassionately engage with themselves, and their relationships. Beginning with an alliance grounded in acceptance, Colleen both validates and gently challenges, allowing clients to move toward their own expanded awareness, resolution, and joy.
Working with adults, older adolescents, and couples, Colleen applies principles from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy for couples, and Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

Pat Yancey, NP, Acupuncturist
Pat Yancey is a nurse practitioner and acupuncturist focusing on a holistic approach to health and wellness. She easily connects with patients and meets them where they are on their journey. She has over 30 years of experience in healthcare.
Her path to becoming a healer began very early when she was hospitalized at age 11. She recognized ways to connect with staff as well as how not to treat patients. Before going to nursing school, she was office manager for two surgeons. Interactions with patients in that practice compelled her to acquire some clinical skills. She started with an Associates degree in nursing, then a Bachelors, and eventually a Masters. She completed her Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University in 1996. She holds certifications from ANCC as both family and pediatric primary care nurse practitioner. She has practiced since graduation in pediatrics, school-based health, and a specialty practice in allergy and asthma.
Recognizing that many conditions are not treated well with allopathic medicines and wanting additional tools for her medicine toolbox, she pursued education in the ancient healing art of acupuncture. After a long search for a school to accommodate her work and life schedule, she started her acupuncture program in 2013. She completed her second Masters of Science, Acupuncture, from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2017, an intensive program in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture comprised of over 3,000 hours of classroom and clinical training.
Pat has been interested in integrative health since nursing school. In addition to allopathic medicine and acupuncture, she has expanded her repertoire of healing modalities to include homeopathy, therapeutic touch, and essential oils. These modalities treat on all levels (mind, body, and spirit) and can be very effective for management of pain, autoimmune disorders, acute or chronic illness, side effects of cancer treatments, addiction, infertility, and stress related disorders.

Mary Ann Korb, LPCMH, MS, NCC
Sometimes, old stories are built into our current awareness that no longer serve our needs. Grief, complex-trauma, and unresolved issues become stuck in our thoughts and behaviors. Our energy becomes encased in worry or fears. Psychotherapy can reduce suffering, release tension, and build insight to the patterns that no longer serve us. Through compassion, acceptance, and nonjudgmental feedback, healing begins to shape a new story - the story of the life that we desire. Emotional safety is a priority at Korb Counseling as we work with your goals toward healing.
“I practice mindful awareness and acceptance of the whole self. With a humanistic view, I believe that mental health is best nurtured through mutual collaboration with you towards treatment goals. Compassionate space is provided for you to process difficult emotions, learn new ways, and build resilience through the careful balance of validation and challenge.”
Mary Ann is a Licensed Associate of Clinical Mental Health and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University where she was awarded the Clinical Excellence and Academic Excellence awards as well as the Compassionate Colleague award.
